By John Rittenoure - TULSA, Okla. (October 5, 2026) - In two Hayden Ross Motorsports Foundation Sooner Late Model Series shows at Thunderbird Speedway this season Brandon Morton and 2023 champion Brett Hansen each picked up a victory. Both are expected to battle for supremacy on Friday when the Sooner Series makes its final stop of 2026 at Thunderbird.

Eric Brill continues to hold down the points lead over Dakota Dellinger coming into Friday’s event on the historic Muskogee half-mile. Brill finished 8th on September 18 at Thunderbird. Dellinger finished in 12th. Both will be looking to improve those numbers on Friday.

Sooner Late Model Series

The Sooner Late Model Series was formed in 2016 by Enid Speedway co-promoter Mark Brill. Brill felt there was not many opportunities for late model competitors to race in Oklahoma and the Sooner Late Model Series was formed. Now the series has grown beyond the borders of Oklahoma with events held in the neighboring states of Kansas, Texas and Missouri, and Arkansas.
