Day doubles up with Sooner Late Model victory at Elk City Speedway

By John Rittenoure - ELK CITY, Okla. (June 24, 2017) - Just 24 hours after winning his first Sooner Late Model Series feature at Southern Oklahoma Speedway, Bo Day made his day by winning for the second straight night on Saturday at Elk City Speedway.

It was the first visit to Elk City for the series and probably most of the competitors. However Day continued his winning pace from the night before.

While Day was first across the finish line he had some heavy company behind him. Defending series champion Mark Harrison chased Day but settled for second. Kip Hughes, driving in his first SLMS event of the season, worked his way to third, David Hennan, who finished third on Friday, was fourth and Austin Theiss was fifth for the second straight night.
