Day wins first Sooner Late Model feature Friday at Southern Oklahoma Speedway
By John Rittenoure - ARDMORE, Okla. (June 23, 2017) - Bo Day had a night to remember Friday at Southern Oklahoma Speedway.
Racing in just his second Sooner Late Model Series show, Day found the Southern Oklahoma 3/8’s mile oval to his liking as he raced to victory over a 17-car field.
After finishing second in the nights second heat, Day jumped into the lead in the main event and outran Joseph Gorby for the victory. Veteran David Hennan chased the front runners to a third place finish, points runner-up Jason Redman finished fourth and Austin Theiss rounded out the top five.
