Martin picks up first Sooner Late Model victory

by John Rittenoure - VAN BUREN, Ark. (September 25, 2021) - On March 20 Dustin Allen opened the Complete Well Testing Sooner Late Model Series season with his first career victory at Crawford County Speedway. Saturday his efforts for a repeat win fell short.

Allen held on to second with series points leader Kip Hughes finishing third. Eddie Tidwell followed in fourth and Rob Powell was fifth.

The next CWT Sooner Late Model Series event is Saturday, October 2, at Enid Speedway.

About Sooner Late Model Series

The Sooner Late Model Series was formed in 2016 by Enid Speedway co-promoter Mark Brill. Brill felt there was not many opportunities for late model competitors to race in Oklahoma and the Sooner Late Model Series was formed. Now the series has grown beyond the borders of Oklahoma with events held in the neighboring states of Kansas, Texas and Arkansas as well.
