81 Speedway next on Sooner Series schedule

by John Rittenoure - TULSA, Okla. (April 6, 2021) - The Complete Well Testing Sooner Late Model Series visits the state of Kansas for the first time this season with a visit to 81 Speedway in Park City on Saturday.

After four weeks of CWT Sooner Late Model Series competition four different winners have emerged with 18-year old Hayden Ross of Muskogee leading the points race. Ross is still looking for his first victory, but leads after posting four top five finishes. Ross had a season best second place finish behind first time winner Dustin Allen of Enid in the season opener at Crawford County Speedway. Last week Ross chased three-time defending champion Kip Hughes to the checkered at Enid Speedway.

At Thunderbird Speedway two weeks ago Joe Godsey of Edinburgh, Indiana and Jacob Magee from Caney, Kansas picked up first time victories.

Hughes moved to second in points with his victory last weekend with Allen hanging on to third. Kaleb Roach and Richard Shepler round out the top five.

Saturday’s visit is the first of three to 81 Speedway for 2021 and racing is set to get underway at 7 p.m. Pits open at 3.
