2021 season opener is just days away


By John Rittenoure - TULSA, Okla. (March 9, 2021) - The start of the 2021 Sooner Late Model Series season is just days away with the opener set for March 20 at Crawford County Speedway.


A total of 31 dates are on the schedule and it begins with three shows to complete the month of March.


Following the Crawford County Speedway opener in Van Buren, Arkansas, two days of racing are on tap at the newly remodeled Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee on March 26-27.


The historic half mile has been undergoing extensive renovations to the facilities, grandstand and track where a new clay surface has been put down.


The two-day show will pay $1,000-to-win and $200-to-start on Friday, March 26 and $2,000-to-win and $300-to-start on Saturday, March 27.


All three shows are Sooner Series point races.
