Traugott sweeps Sooner Modifieds at Enid

by John Rittenoure - ENID, Okla. (October 22, 2017) - Cole Traugott won his second Sooner Modified feature of the season Sunday at Enid Speedway to move into the series points lead after five events. 

The Woodward driver won for the second time in three races to take a 95 point lead over Brandon Gemmill who won logged his first victory at Enid on September 9. 


Traugott, took an early lead and was chased most of the race by Travis Johnson before the yellow flag stopped racing on lap 16. Johnson was not able to restart and Enid racer Greg Burt took over the runner-up position.  Burt was not able to run down Traugott and settled for a second place finish. Gemmill stayed close to the leaders to finish third while Tanner Mullens and Jon Herring, Jr. followed in fourth and fifth. 

Logan Macy won the B main to earn a 17th place start in the main event where he worked his way to a 12th place finish.
