Gould tops Sooner Modified feature at Oklahoma Sports Park

by John Rittenoure - ADA, Okla. (June 10, 2017) - Ronnie Gould made the best of his first appearance with the Sooner Modified Series sweeping the show on Saturday at Oklahoma Sports Park.

After winning the opening heat race the Seminole, Oklahoma racer started on the pole in the main event and went the distance to pick up the victory. Brody Robe came from fourth starting position to second but could not catch Gould. Kyle Goforth climbed from sixth to finish third ahead of Bobby McGehee, Jr. in fourth and Allan Beatty in fifth.

With two events now run in the series Robe was able to move into the points lead with Kirby Robe moving into second and Goforth now holds down third. 

The next Sooner Modified event will be July 8 at Enid Speedway.
